Glossary : Mounting

Mounting is one of a number of finishing processes we offer as part of our Large Format Printing service. Ususally combined with laminating, mounting refers to the process of fixing a print to a backing material for added durability and, depending on the material, rigidity. We can mount on flexible PVC, foam board, Foamex, magnetic backing material and MDF. We can also back prints with an adhesive backing allowing prints to be stuck onto other surfaces. The adhesive backing is available in permanent or re-positionable strengths.
