Glossary : UV Inks

UV inks are special inks used in the large format printing process to guarantee colour fastness in direct sunlight. The UV inks use a special pigment that is resistant to ultraviolet radiation and thus does not fade even aftre prolonged exposure. Typically, prints produced with UV inks and properly laminated can last for three years outdoors with no colour loss.
