Modular Solutions : Stand Examples

Below is an example modular solution to typical client brief. The requirement was for a flexible solution adaptable to stand areas and layouts ranging from 16m sq to 50m sq.

Considerations for brief

2. Strong and sturdy, to support an array of hardware including 42" plasma screens
3. Modular and flexible graphics, able to use different panels for different applications
4. To able to be expanded at later date, to accommodate large stand sizes.

6. Storage and hardware space, including 19" racks.
7. Ease of build and knockdown plus minimal 'not in use' storage.
8. Budget constraints.

Due to the constraints of the brief, Syrox proposes the use of a modular system. The two types of modular
system in this proposal are flexible, expandable and compliment each other, both in look and construction. The basis of the stand uses a 222 mm square or triangular truss system. This technology is versatile and robust, and is capable of carrying the weight of a number of plasma screens and other heavy-duty kit, all of which can be fastened using a number of standard off-the-shelf clamps.

The back wall, graphics, storage and client areas use an aluminium modular system. This is constructed from aluminium channels with straight and curved 2.44 x 1.22 m graphic, solid or translucent panels. Both graphics and layout can be expanded and changed at any time, and, with the use of backlit fluorescent tube panels, can be
converted into impressive 2.44 m high light boxes.

To compliment the above and to bring a touch of uniqueness to the stand, Syrox proposes the use of two 3500 mm freeform supports. These are bespoke, constructed from MDF and ply, and are bolted to the raised floor. They can be dressed in a variety of finishes, including laminates and graphics, and are used to project corporate brand across the exhibition hall.
